Celebrating Salvadoran Art Through Painting - Island Library

January 31, 2026

Join us at the Island Library for a hands-on learning experience that celebrates El Salvador’s most iconic art, the colorful folk art of Fernando Llort. In this program, WCLS Hispanic Cultural Liaisons, Diana and Amelia, will discuss how Llort's use of vibrant colors and the naïve art style captures the beauty of Salvadoran culture, nature, and everyday life.

Guided by Diana and Amelia, each attendee will paint one small wooden piece in the naïve folk style. All materials are provided and no prior experience is required.

This adult program is suitable for ages 16 and older and will be presented in both English and Spanish.

Spaces are limited and registration is required.
