Whatcom WRITES invites writers of all ages and experience levels to explore a theme inspired by this year’s Whatcom READS book.  Top entries are selected for publication in the Whatcom WRITES anthology. This year’s theme is Discovery. The deadline to submit entries has passed, but you can hear the authors of the top Whatcom WRITES entries read their work at two public presentations and then start planning your own entry for next year!

Gain insight into the writing process as author Eowyn Ivey discusses the art and craft of writing. The program will take place at the Wilson Library Reading Room at Western Washington University. The Reading Room, also known as the Harry Potter Room or 4 Central, is on the fourth floor of Wilson side of the library. The easiest way to get to it is to take the stone stairs near the Wilson entrance to the very top. See map below.
